Rat Run Rally is an event and not a race. Participants must not compete at any level with other participants and must not place any bets relating to this event. Anyone found doing this will be removed instantly from the Rat Run Rally event with immediate effect, and the rest of your trip will be terminated without refund. You must drive with attention and focus for your own safety and the safety of other people. Rat Run Rally is about everyone having fun in a safe environment.
The entry fee covers hotels located along the route where the Rat Run Rally sees fit for each city and the amount of people on each rally. Participants may require a taxi to get from the hotel to any evening venue, and the cost of any such taxi shall be incurred by each Rat Run Rally participant. The Rat Run Rally entry fee does not cover any private expenses during the event, such as petrol, parking, public transport, taxis, tolls, ferry transfer fees, food, drink, fines, individual loss or damage, or any other expenses of any kind.
All participants are provided with a hotel room in every city during the rally included as part of their entry fee. Rat Run Rally aims to offer twin rooms in most hotels, but based on the city and hotel, a number of rooms may have double beds. We will, however, do our best to ensure that everyone has their desired room type, but due to the variation in hotels, this cannot be guaranteed. If you would prefer a double bedded hotel room on the rally, please be sure to request that when we send out hotel information. All participants will be required to provide a credit card as a security deposit when entering the hotel provided and will be billed for any losses/incidentals before leaving the venue.
Throughout each rally, there will be evening parties along the way in every city. These evening parties are for you to meet up with each other and discuss experiences. Participants are not obliged to attend any parties, nor are they encouraged to consume alcohol or engage in any other illegal activity; any choice to do so is entirely the sole responsibility of each participant. Anyone found to be presenting a danger to other participants or members or the Rat Run Rally team will be removed from the event. Participants will need to take legitimate ID to all parties; a driving license or passport is appropriate for every party, and we ask that you dress smartly.
Rat Run Rally will have no alternative other than to terminate any team who has not provided their full entry information at least 14 days prior to the start of any event. This required information consists of passenger names, vehicle make and model, vehicle registration details, and anything else required by the Rat Run Rally Team. Anybody found bringing extra participants or vehicles to the event without explicitly notifying and obtaining written approval from Rat Run Rally will be removed from the event without refund.
While we recommend that all participants are of legal driving age; underage participants are also welcome, however, there are no discounts applicable for such participants and any adult bringing them accepts sole responsibility for them and will need to be aware that they may not be allowed entry to certain events.
All participants must stick to all appropriate legislation of each and every region you travel in. If for any reason you choose to withdraw from the event, your fee is neither transferable nor refundable under any circumstance.
Cross Channel Ferries are offered (in conjunction with any applicable event) as per event description on the Rat Run Rally website. If any participants miss an organized ferry they are subject to a probable management fee from the ferry company which they will be required to pay themselves
All participants must conduct themselves properly at all times and act conscientiously at each of the venues on route. You must NOT drink alcohol while driving or drive under the effect of alcohol or any other intoxicating substance at any time during the event. You must NOT drive if your ability to do so safely and properly is in any way impaired by illness, lack of adequate rest, or any other condition.
You hereby agree to indemnify the organizer, Rat Run Rally Limited company directors, officials, staff, and consultants against any and all claims, lawsuits, and causes of action whatsoever or howsoever.
All drivers must hold a full valid driving license and are responsible for making sure vehicles used in the event are properly licensed and covered by insurance for use on the public highways in all countries specified in the itinerary.
Each team is responsible to prepare their car and know, understand, and comply with any applicable driving laws of any country they visit during the event. We will have a legal package for all drivers sent out before the rally starts, which is a free service offered by the Rat Run Rally legal sponsor who will also give free 24-hour legal advice if needed only between the dates of the rally.
You agree to have the "Rat Run Rally" and all official event sponsors' stickers placed on your vehicle at all times during the event. No refund of any kind, including the entry fee, will be made under any circumstances for your removal from the event for failure to comply.
Once an entry fee, deposit, or part payment has been paid for entry into a rally, this fee is non-transferable to any other rallies or any other teams.
If any participants violate any of the above terms and conditions or refuse to follow the instructions given to you during the event by the Rat Run Rally staff, you may be prohibited from any further participation in the event.
The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event at any time for reasons beyond its control and in any such circumstances the reason will be notified to each and every participant. Should this become necessary any appropriate refunds will be given.
All participants recognize and give permission to be photographed and to be a part of any filming of video footage recording the event. You hereby waive any and all rights of publicity or personal privacy and give the organizer and Rat Run Rally Limited complete authorization to use you and use your look and vehicle images in the event in any and all ways and media around the world in perpetuity. Additionally, you agree that the organizer and Rat Run Rally Limited possess the sole discretion to use or not to use any photographs or footage where you appear, and that if the organizer or Rat Run Rally Limited does use such photographs or footage, it may be modified at the organizer's or Rat Run Rally Limited’s sole discretion. You give permission to the use of your name, image, likeness, voice, and biographical material about you in association with any footage, publicity, and related promotional material and for any publicity and marketing functions.
You are not permitted to use the 'Rat Run Rally' logos or branding under any circumstance other than placing stickers on your vehicle.
The organizer has the right to modify these terms and conditions regularly, subject to informing individuals of the modifications. You shall be considered to have approved the changed terms and conditions by taking part in any event.
These terms and conditions and your participation in the event are governed by English law, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
